As the husband of President Trumps’ first daughter, Ivanka, Jared Kushner has been the key player in his 2016 presidential campaign and later in the White House as a key advisor. ABC News reports that Kushner, 36, will next be named to lead the White House Office of American Innovation. He will not be taking a salary for the position.

Few details have been released concerning the newly-created office, however, it is presumed that the office will be charged with listening to ideas throughout the business world and using those suggestions for government innovation. In addition, the office is being tasked with overhauling obsolete rules within the federal bureaucracy and fulfilling campaign promises.

Separately, Ivanka Trump was given an expanded security clearance and a West Wing office in the White House last week. Ivanka’s office is located on the second floor while her husbands’ is only a few steps from the Oval Office.

Ivanka Trump, the eldest daughter of the President, has become one of the public faces of her father’s administration. She often travels with her father to political and social events, like their recent stop at the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C. She has also participated in numerous business roundtable, often discussing issues affecting women in the workplace.
